NDP 09 Total Defence Display

Spectators to this year's NDP 09 will be thrilled by a fast-paced and exciting Total Defence Display (TDD). Lasting about 15 minutes, TDD will be held before the parade segment.

TDD will provide a three-dimensional experience featuring actions in the air, in the bay and around the floating platform. It will provide an electrifying experience, not only for the spectators at the seating gallery, but also those around the bay area. Coupled with pyrotechnics, sound effects, videos and music, TDD will keep spectators on the edge of their seats.

TDD will showcase the operational readiness of the SAF and the Home Team in defending our homeland. It will showcase assets from the Singapore Army, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

Chairman TDD, Lieutenant-Colonel (LTC) Simon Lee said: “We hope that TDD will provide spectators with a thrilling and up-close experience of the capabilities on display and at the same time, shows that Singapore is vigilant and prepared to defend our homeland.”
