Shout! Shout! Let it all out!

Many popular mainstream titles will be heard at this year’s National Day Parade, thanks to the help of Dr Sydney Tan as music director. The modern hits are given an invigorating transformation, being remixed and woven into an energetic playlist.

He was aided by the choir of Anglo-Chinese Junior College, and these pictures show the hard work that they invested on a long Saturday morning. Both current students, as well as alumni went down for the recording, including several NSFs on their weekend break. Even the local jazz sensation Nathan Hartono – a proud Acsian – attended, to show their support for the parade.

Familiar NDP songs such as ‘Count On Me Singapore’ and ‘Stand Up For Singapore’ were given a breath of fresh air. All these in line, of course, with the revolutionised ‘One Show’ concept: innovative – fresh and original.
