Lights! Camera! Snap!

Over the last two weekends, a few of our show participants took time out of their busy rehearsal schedule to give support to our photo shoot. From the likes of Dikir Barat and the People’s Association in their cultural garb, to DrumFest and Martial House ready for action in their futuristic suits; the studio was filled with energy and enthusiasm.

With torrents of hair spray and dollops of make up – done by Kimage and Cosmoprof – our talents were transformed into their National Day best! A dynamic segment was definitely the SAF Music and Drama Company, with their past-meets-present spread; and the Bhaskars’ Dancers in their traditional saris.

No doubt, many were camera-shy. But everyone soon warmed up to the cameras, and threw away their inhibitions, when coached by our Creative Director himself, Ivan Heng.

The photographs were bold and vibrant; thanks to the designer, Frederick Lee, and his colourful costumes that portrayed an eclectic array of history and heritage. But regardless of diversity, one thing was common throughout – the bright smiles and laughter encompassed in every shot.
