Greetings from all of us in Team NDP 2008! We are privileged to be given the honour to plan and organise next year's celebration at the Marina Bay. The evolving city skyline around the Marina Bay provides a spectacular and breath- taking backdrop for Asia's largest floating performing platform. The open sky and calm waters in the Bay offer many possibilities for a spectacular show. This year's parade has given Singaporeans a glimpse of what the Marina Bay venue can offer and I am confident NDP 2008 will be both visually stunning and emotionally engaging.

Over the years, the National Day Parade has not only become an annual event that all Singaporeans look forward to but also an enriching experience for the many participants and partners involved in the organisation of the nation's most important celebration. This is evident from the many repeated participants, partners and sponsors that have supported NDP over the years. All of them do so with a deep sense of passion, commitment and love for Singapore.

NDP is therefore not just an event we need to organise but a journey that we want to embark on. It is a journey that transforms ideas into reality. It is a journey where strangers will become friends. It is a journey that will bring out the best of Singaporeans and non-Singaporeans alike. My team is excited and ready for this journey. I hope you are too.
